About

Jamie Harley is a French artist and director of British origin, based in Paris.

His first work as a director was a short film, The Biology of Machines (2001), made in collaboration with Malcolm McLaren, the former manager of the Sex Pistols.

Alongside his work as a music supervisor, he has directed close to 200 music videos, moving freely from one technique to the next: live action, archive footage, traditional animation, CGI, and now generative artificial intelligence.

Through the 2010s he put images to tracks by many musicians from the American independent scene, among them Twin Shadow, How To Dress Well, Clams Casino and Memoryhouse.

He then began a collaboration with the Paris label Pan European Recording, directing videos for many of its artists: Koudlam, Flavien Berger, Maud Geffray and Hanaa Ouassim.
